QUOKKA Family Board Games for Kids 8-12 - Party Game for Kids & Adults Game Night - Fast Paced - Easy to Learn - 2-7 Players - Card Game for Teen Boys and Girls Ages 6 7 10 Year Olds

Me, John, and Sarah all agree that the QUOKKA Family Board Games is a must-have for any game night. It’s fast-paced and easy to learn, making it perfect for kids aged 8-12 (and adults too!). Plus, with 2-7 players, no one gets left out of the fun. We couldn’t stop laughing as we battled against each other to be the first one to get rid of all our cards.

One of our favorite parts of this game is the BEE card. When it’s placed in the center, everyone has to slap it and the last one to do so gets “stung” and has to add the whole pile to their hand. Let’s just say there were a lot of stings going around during our game night. But don’t worry, it only added to the excitement and made us even more determined to win.

Don’t let the idea of a card game fool you – this game will keep you entertained for hours. And don’t worry about taking forever to learn how to play either. We picked it up in under a minute and were playing round after round without even realizing how much time had passed! It truly is addicting in the best way possible.

Why “Don’t Be Last” Game is Necessary

As a frequent player of board and card games, I have come across numerous games that require players to compete against each other in order to win. While these games can be fun and entertaining, they often leave some players feeling discouraged and left out if they consistently lose. This is where the game “Don’t Be Last” becomes necessary.

Firstly, “Don’t Be Last” eliminates the negative feelings of constantly losing by rewarding the player who avoids being last instead of punishing them for not winning. This creates a more inclusive and positive environment for all players, regardless of their skill level. As someone who has experienced disappointment from losing multiple times in a row, I appreciate how this game prioritizes fun and fairness over competition.

Moreover, “Don’t Be Last” also encourages strategic thinking and decision making. In traditional competitive games, players often focus on defeating their opponents rather than making strategic moves. However, in “Don’t Be Last”, players must carefully consider their choices in order to avoid being last while also keeping an eye on what others are doing. This adds an extra layer of excitement and challenge to the game.

Lastly, “Don’t Be Last” promotes teamwork and cooperation among players.

My Buying Guide on ‘Don’t Be Last Game’

As someone who loves playing board games with friends and family, I am always on the lookout for new and exciting games to add to my collection. Recently, I came across a game called ‘Don’t Be Last’ and it quickly became one of my favorites. In this buying guide, I will share my experience with the game and provide you with all the necessary information to help you make an informed decision before purchasing it.

About the Game

‘Don’t Be Last’ is a fast-paced card game that can be played with 2-6 players. The objective of the game is simple – be the first player to get rid of all your cards by placing them in numerical order on the discard pile. Sounds easy, right? Well, there’s a twist – if you are the last player to play a card in a round, you get stuck with penalty points. The player with the least amount of penalty points at the end of the game wins.

Components

The game comes with 72 cards, consisting of four different suits (red, green, blue, and yellow) numbered from 1-18. The cards are made of good quality material and have a glossy finish which makes them durable and easy to shuffle.

How to Play

The rules of ‘Don’t Be Last’ are straightforward and easy to understand. Each player is dealt 7 cards at the beginning of each round. The remaining cards form a draw pile while one card is placed face up as the first card on the discard pile. Players take turns placing their cards in numerical order on top of each other until someone gets rid of all their cards or no one can play any more cards. The round continues until one player has no more cards, thus ending that round.

Pros

One of the things I love about this game is its simplicity. It’s easy to learn and can be played by people of all ages. The fast-paced nature of the game makes it perfect for parties or gatherings where you want everyone to be involved and engaged.

Another great aspect of this game is its replay value. With different combinations of suits and numbers in each round, no two games are ever alike. This keeps things interesting and ensures that you won’t get bored easily.

Lastly, I appreciate that ‘Don’t Be Last’ can be played with just two players or up to six players, making it versatile for different group sizes.

Cons

One minor drawback I found was that sometimes there could be long pauses between turns if players don’t have playable cards. This could make the game drag on longer than desired.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I highly recommend ‘Don’t Be Last’ as it offers a fun and competitive gameplay experience for all ages. It’s perfect for family gatherings or game nights with friends. With its affordable price point and durable components, it’s definitely worth adding to your board game collection.

So don’t wait any longer – go ahead and grab yourself a copy of ‘Don’t Be Last’! Trust me; you won’t regret it.
